Badalassi Carlo Minerva
Badalassi Carlo, my favourite tannery, is based in San Miniato, Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 1994, Badalassi Carlo exclusively produce luxury vegetable-tanned leathers under the Consorzio Vera Pella Italiana (Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium).
Minerva is a smooth, full-grain, aniline-dyed vachetta, that ages beautifully. The hides are traditionally tanned in pits for 30 days, and then treated with a mixture of animals fats in wooden drums.
Badalassi Carlo No Fin
Much like Minerva, No Fin is also a smooth, full-grain aniline-drum-dyed vachetta. However, No Fin has no additional finishes applied to the grain - The surface of the leather is completely naked. This means No Fin feels especially unique in the hand, with a natural and slightly softer grain.
Badalassi Carlo Pueblo
Pueblo is an Italian, full-grain, purely vegetable-tanned leather with a rustic and naked finish. Beautifully coloured in a barrel and with a surface covered in countless micro-scratches, Pueblo will quickly begin to absorb moisture and oils, making for a fast patina.

Leather will patina with time and use, darkening in colour, whilst developing a rich and lustrous surface. Friction, oils from skin, and exposure to sunlight will accelerate this process. Consistent handling should keep most leathers naturally conditioned. If you wish to condition your leather goods, I suggest a natural leather balm.
