Patina & Care:
Leather will patina with time and use, darkening in colour, whilst developing a rich and lustrous surface. Friction, oils from skin, and exposure to sunlight will accelerate this process. Consistent handling should keep most leathers naturally conditioned. If you wish to condition your leather goods, I suggest either a natural leather balm or Saphir Renovating Cream.
Hardware:
The buckles used in this strap are made from solid brass, that has been heated, quenched and then submerged in acid. This process oxidises the brass giving it a gunmetal finish. This finish will wear down with use, revealing fresh brass underneath, that will begin to darken and patina naturally.
